Laurel Book Store was a small, woman-owned, independent bookstore, opened in 2001. The store hosted author readings and events, and works with local schools and libraries. It was originally in the Laurel at 4100 MacArthur Boulevard, but moved downtown in 2014 into the Lionel Wilson Building. The physical store closed in 2018 but the store continued selling online until September 2020, when it closed for good. 1
