Line 51 Brewing is a Oakland craft brewery opened in 2012, part of a nexus of Oakland's thriving brewing scene along the waterfront that includes Linden Street, Oakland United Beerworks, Original Pattern Brewing Co., and Buck Wild Brewing. Its dramatic bar is fashioned from a classic AC Transit bus in 1972 livery, a gesture commemorating Oakland's history of excellent public transit and the 51 line, now divided into the 51A and 51B, that runs from the Berkeley Marina to Fruitvale.
The taproom is at 303 Castro.
