The Merritt Queen was a stern wheel boat that took people around Lake Merritt. It was particularly popular to ride before Christmas for caroling and to view the holiday lights.

The first regular weekend trips began in November, 1971. 2 It stopped running about 2001. It was owned by Oakland Parks and Recreation.
