The Montclair Gateway Mural (aka the Sister Butterflies Mural) is a large mural on a retaining wall along Mountain Blvd. at the south end of Montclair Village.
It features numerous California Sister butterflies (Adeplha californica) which are native to the Oakland hills, and several oak trees. It was painted by Mandy Lockwood, along with Debbie Koppman, Ben and Mira Lockwood-Johnston, Brian Cereban, Stella Santos, Sophie and Emily Espinoza in 2015-2016.
