Moshe Kasher (born July 6, 1979) is a comedian who was raised in Temescal in North Oakland. He is also the author of the autobiographical, Kasher in the Rye: The True Tale of a White Boy from Oakland Who Became a Drug Addict, Criminal, Mental Patient, and Then Turned 16.

Kasher was born in Queens, New York, but his family moved to Oakland when he was one. Although references describe him as growing up in Temescal, the East Bay Express article says, "Kasher spent his formative years in what he described...as "a very ramshackle house" near the corner of Piedmont and Pleasant Valley avenues, just spitting distance from the King's X sports bar." 1

Kasher used to perform at The Stork Club on Telegraph.

He filmed a comedy special, Live in Oakland, at The New Parish.
