New Gold Medal Restaurant - Oakland

New Gold Medal Restaurant is located at 389 - 8th Street. A succession of Chinese restaurants have been located in this building since 1924, the first being the See Hoy Low which featured multiple dining rooms and a live orchestra for dancing. New Gold Medal serves a predominantly Cantonese menu in a no-frills atmosphere and is popular with late night diners.
