The Oakland Guardian Angels is the Oakland chapter of the national organization Guardian Angels started at the Peralta Hacienda during the National Night Out on August 6, 2013.

History

In July of 2010 there was an Oakland chapter of the Guardian Angels which volunteered to help in the fight to keep Oakland safer.  This was done as a direct response to 80 Oakland police officer being laid off at the time.

Two years previous to 2010, sometime in 2008, the Guardian Angels assisted in keeping the peace in Oakland after a request by then Mayor Ron Dellums.

The Guardian Angels established an Oakland, California chapter in 1982..
