The Oakland Motordrome was a short-lived wooden racetrack in the Elmhurst district near 98th Avenue and E Street. 2 The track was built in early 1911 by Jack Prince, but by September of 1912, it was being dismantled for the lumber. 1

The track featured mostly motorcycle races and auto races, but was also the site of some early airshows featuring Weldon Cooke and other early aviators.
