Oakland PRIDE Festival was held Sunday, September 1, 2013 11am-7pm in downtown Oakland.
According to Jean Quan's newsletter, over 40,000 people attended.
Oakland had a pride in the late 1990s but the festival ended in 2003. Thanks in part to Councilwoman Rebecca Kaplan, the parade came back in 2010. In 2013, the Bay Area Reporter named Oakland Pride the Best Fair or Festival in the East Bay.
Celebrate Pride with Oakland. There will be 3 stages, with En Vogue on the main stage. Lots of fun for kids, families, teens, adults, everyone!
