The Omar Club was located at 2086 Broadway in what is now known as Uptown. Some guy named Clint played piano there in exchange for pizza and beer.

Also sometimes called The Omar, Omar, and Omar Pizzeria.  The ad below appeared in the Saturday, December 17, 1949 edition of the Oakland Tribune. The 1957 Tribune posting refers to owners Fred A. Donate & James M. Mossetto applying for a cabaret license, and calls it The Omar. Not sure when that Oakland law came into effect.
