Paul Laurence Dunbar Cobb (born August, 1943) is the publisher and editor of the Oakland Post newspaper.
Cobb was born in West Oakland "on the basement floor of a building on Pine and 7th Street." He was named for poet, novelist and playwright Paul Laurence Dunbar. 1
He worked shining shoes, then got a paper route, then eventually worked for local publications. He attended Howard University, and he marched with Martin Luther King, Jr. in Selma, Alabama.
