Piedmont Avenue Lanes was a bowling alley located at 3923 Piedmont Avenue.

[A check of newspaper archives found that it existed at least as early as 1949, and lasted at least until 1976.] 

I mainly remember always hurrying past that place, because that’s where the Piedmont Ave juvenile delinquents congregated instead of going to school. ,  … it was not unlike the Avenue equivalent of “Hi, I’m Larry … this is my brother Darryl, this here’s my other brother Darryl …” but with malevolence instead of humor. -Mike
