Rachel ("Ray") Frank (April 10, 1861 – October 10, 1948) was the first Jewish woman to preach formally from the pulpit in the US.

She taught at First Hebrew Congregation, and her students included Gertrude Stein and Judah Leon Magnes.

Although the October 19, 1898 San Francisco Chronicle proclaimed her as the first woman rabbi, Frank was never officially ordained as a rabbi. 1
