According to its website, Red, Bike and Green (RBG) "is a community-building collective of Black urban cyclists seeking to improve the physical and mental health, economy and local environment of African Americans by creating a relevant and sustainable Black bike culture." 

History

It started initially in 2007 by Jenna Burton, and is guided by a three point plan:

  • Health,
  • Economics, and
  • Environment

RBG was established in Oakland and now has chapters in Chicago, Atlanta and New York.
