SJ Lynch (1822-1907) served on the City Council in 1855.

BIO

Lynch was born in Pennsylvania and was a carpenter/contractor. He worked in the gold mines in 1849, and came to Oakland in about 1851, where he opened Oakland's first planing mill. He also worked as a surveyor in the Bay Area. He was a prominent resident of Santa Cruz.1
