Many places in the City have regular street sweeping schedules. Residential streets are swept twice a month during business hours when residents are at work. Arterial streets are usually swept every other day between the hours of 12am-6am. The City is currently in the process of releasing street sweeping schedules for all streets so residents can keep track of when their streets are being swept. This way they can prevent their cars and/or their friend's cars from getting ticketed for parking on the streets at those times.
As of May 23, 2013 the city is enforcing street sweeping "no-parking" zones and give tickets even if the streets do not get swept. (See budget memo released 5/23/13). The memo says the policy is under review...
