Tudor Hall Apartments is an unusual Tudor-style 6-story apartment building at 150 - 17th Street, at the corner of 17th and Madison Streets, near Lake Merritt. The building was designed by the firm of Miller and Warnecke, a firm known for Tudor-style buildings, and was completed in November 1929. Many of the building's unique details have been preserved to this day.
When constructed, the apartments include Rip Van Winkle wall beds. 2
Castle Envy
Let's just say that perhaps some Lakeside residents who live in less castle-like apartment buildings sometimes feel a desire to live in this glorious building when they pass by it on the way to Good News Cafe or Lake Merritt.
