Notoriety: Known amongst some in the rave and grassroots activist circles, the crew at Sketch, and frequenter of Kensington Market

Profile: Kai'enne moved to Toronto in the winter of 2007 from St. Catharines. Upon arriving, sie was a homeless youth owning little more than a backpack, staying in a youth shelter in North York. Sie now holds multiple jobs within the community, acting as a social binding agent for grassroots organizations. Sie holds a position on the Toronto Drug Strategy Implementation Panel at City Hall and engages in public speaking at every opportunity. Hir talk at the 2010 Toronto Freedom Festival is available online here, and sie has spoken for such prolific events as the Red Cross's National Annual Youth Leadership Conference, the Trip! Project's 15-year anniversary event, and the international Performing the World conference in New York City. Sie is an advocate for gender rights, drug user rights, ethnic rights, harm reduction, and equanimity in general. Sie is a transgendered female and avid Magic: the Gathering player.

In 2008/2009 sie lived in a community house called the Mud House, eventually leaving to start up a new community house called the Helix.
