Oakland's vacant lots can be found here -- but many of the "vacant" lots in this list and the map are actually occupied by things such as parks, schools, churches, PG&E lines, EBMUD's wastewater treatment plant near the MacArthur Maze, etc. Others (e.g., the site of Habitat for Humanity's Kinsell Commons project on 81st Avenue) are no longer vacant. As a result, this does not present an accurate or valid picture of the actually available properties. Can this list be recreated with only the lots tagged as vacant commercial or vacant residential, without the exempt public agency lots? ===> the folks who built the vacant lots site are reworking it. asked about dataset here.
