We are Oakland International is a community book about Oakland written by Oakland International High School students and Thi Bui and published by Minuteman Press, Berkeley, in 2012. This is a book of personal narratives in comic form by the students of Oakland International High School. The comics in the book were created by students from 2009 to 2012. Students who contributed to the book have moved to Oakland from places such as Vietnam, Mexico, Congo, Eritrea, Burma, Thailand, and Nepal.
