The West Oakland Green Initiative is a community group that is pursuing the passage of the West Oakland Reforestation Plan, a plan in partnership with the Port of Oakland, the West Oakland Project Area Committee, and the Oakland Redevelopment Agency (what is the plan now that the ORA doesn't exist?) to increase vegetation and tree coverage in West Oakland.
