Youth Employment Partnership is a non-profit in the San Antonio neighborhood of East Oakland that trains youth for employment and runs all kinds of other programs that help Oakland youth and young adults get good jobs. The non-profit was founded in 1973 and since that time has served over 30,000 youth. Their programs include after-school and summer jobs for youth, job training, on-site GED programs, and more. One very cool program that they have is a trainee program for youth to rehabilitate foreclosed homes that are going to be a part of the Oakland Community Land Trust.
