Garber Park is a 13-acre City of Oakland woodland park located behind the Claremont Hotel and near the Berkeley Oakland border. The mile long Loop Trail passes through a forest of oaks, bay laurel, big leaf maples and California Buckeyes, and through the 1920s era stone Fireplace Plaza.  Essentially all of the maintenance of the park is performed by the Garber Park Stewards, rather than by the City.
