The Luso-Brasilian Garden plaque is on the slope south of the bandshell in Lakeside Park next to a set of old white-trunked trees. It commemorates the visit of the mayors of two of San Leandro's sister cities, Ribeirao Preto, Brazil, and Ponta Delgada, Portugal (Azores) in 1972.
