Introduction

OlyWiki is a community edited site about Olympia and the surrounding areas. We are aiming for a place to showcase businesses, events, people, and information from Thurston County. We want to increase collaboration, local media, open data and knowledge sharing across the region. We need editors and subject leaders to help build content.

Getting Started

• Creating an account - In order to track the pages you have created or edited click on create account.
• Play around in the Wiki SandBox - Please feel free to experiment here with any edit changes, adding images.
• Review the  This is an open project, but there are some general guidelines.
• Editing - Editing a page is as simple as clicking on the "Edit" tab at the top of the screen..
• Linking - The most important concept is linking.
• Creating a new page - New content can be added by creating new pages on the wiki. Search for a business place or person and if a page does not exist feel free to create it!
• Info Tab - Click on the info tab to see a list of all changes made to a page, and even revert to a previous change.
• Tagging - How to tag pages.
• What is a Wiki? - A wiki is a linked set of pages which anyone can change correct or expand.
