Sleater Kinney band
Sleater kinney band was an American rock band that founded in the mid-90s, and named after Sleater Kinney road, the location of one of their early practice spaces. The band is from Portland, Oregon but was originally formed in Olympia, Washington. The band's name pronounced (sle t r k ni / SLAY-t r-KIN-ee). The band's members are Corin Tucker, Carrie Brownstein, and Janet Weiss. Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein were the vocalists and the guitar players in the band while Janet Weiss was the drums player. They were a noted part of the "riot grrrl" and indie rock scenes in the Pacific Northwest.
