Maple View Farm is located in Hillsborough, North Carolina and is owned by Mike Strowd and Bob Nutter. Originally, the farm originated in Corinna, Maine, by the Nutter family of which Bob is the fifth generation. Their decision to relocate was due to the better climate that North Carolina offered for a successful milk market and the ease of double cropping. With 400 acres of land that make up their location, Maple View Farm has reworked their purpose in innovative ways that have kept their business thriving, which include its dairy and ice cream.

The dairy was put into full swing when Nutter and Strowd established Maple View Farm Milk Company, LLC. This facility allowed the Maple View to process and bottle their own milk. Maple View breeds Maview cows that produce approximately 2 million pounds of milk per year. Maple View has made sure to ensure that their milk company is eco-friendly. All of their milk are available in glass returnable bottles, as well as plastic recyclable pints. Maple View's milk products include:

Maple View Ice Cream is a staple for fresh Southern churned ice cream housed in Maple View Country Store. Muffin Brusig acts as the co-founder of Maple View Ice Cream. The flavors of ice cream range from cookie dough to coconut lime to eggnog all according to the time of season and availability of ingredients. In addition to the standard ice cream, there are hand dipped ice cream, homemade waffle cones and bowls, milkshakes, malts, floats, banana splits, two sizes of sundaes and various toppings. Maple View Ice Cream also provides catering that includes birthday parties, retirement parties and family reunions. Maple View Ice Cream has received various awards including those from Chapel Hill Magazine's Best Of series and has been featured in magazines like Southern Living and Farm Bureau.
