The Oroville inn was opened in 1930.It originally had 92 hotel rooms with full bath rooms a new accommodation for for the early 1900s.There was also heating and air conditioning. The building was planned and managed by Walter E.Higgins. the hotel was bought out by handling hotels then in the eighties opened as a retirement home. It was reopened as a low-cost living apartment house and then eventually abandoned until bought by Bud Tracy a fan of Oroville history. Who restored the building and made the building into dorms for the Lineman College in Oroville.
