General Info, from their webpage:
We are located in downtown Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on 69 University Avenue, and sell new and used music in vinyl and CD format. We also carry guitar, mandolin and violin strings, as well as straps, stands, cords, picks, etc. We have fair trade coffee and tea available while you browse the shelves or check out a recording you may be interested in on our listening station. We also have a vinyl to MP3 transfer station as well as a free access computer terminal for customers.
Our primary goal is to support the local music community by featuring a large inventory of local artists and supplying various resources for musicians. We plan to book and promote in-store performances and CD-releases. We also want to offer music lessons as well as instrument repair in the the future.
Back Alley Music was a top 5 finalist in the 2008 CBC Radio 3 Searchlight Contest, searching for the best record store in Canada.
