"Although men and women in the community had been previously meeting together for worship and prayer for many years, Blodgett Community Church was officially organized in 1953. While planning and saving for a future church building, we met for services in the Blodgett School. In 1958, the congregation requested and was granted leadership from Village Missions, a non-denominational organization supplying pastors for rural and suburban areas. On April 17, 1966, the ground was broken for our new church building. Men and women from the church and community worked together harmoniously, constructing a beautiful edifice to the glory of God. The building was close enough to completion that we were able to assemble in it on Easter Sunday, 1968. What a day that was! With grateful and rejoicing hearts we dedicated the structure to the Lord, June 8, 1969. As we look back over the years, we thank God for His unfailing faithfulness, realizing that we can also anticipate the future with great confidence in Him." (From facebook page)
