Let's face it. Every community has issues. People are not clones of one another. We have different backgrounds, opinions, personalities. Sometimes we agree. Sometimes we disagree. Sometimes we agree to disagree. Ultimately, though, we all live in Philomath and agree (hopefully) that we want Philomath to be the best place it can be, not just for ourselves, but for those who will come here in the years to come. To help ourselves (and those who will come in the days ahead) understand who we are, it's helpful to understand what we've been through, including the tough times when we faced sharp disagreements over local issues. To that end, here are a few controversies that we've faced in the past, have overcome (or are overcoming) that have made us who we are. In the spirit of reconciliation, let's keep comments on this page positive and encouraging.
