Isaac Warren was the father of Dr. Warren of Little Rock. John Means was accused of killing him, and though he was tried twice, both juries were unable to reach a verdict.

It is unknown if the victim was related to Mr. J. Warren, a well-known farmer from Black River Township, whom Means was also accused of killing.
