Subject: Swing by during Raleigh Civic-athon Day

Hello citizens of Raleigh,

Join Raleigh CityCampers and Code for Raleigh brigade captains for the first ever Raleigh Civic-athon Day on Saturday, December 1 from 9am-12pm. Help us meet our goal of adopting 20 new bus shelters around the city by December 7. We have a variety of activities planned for future bus shelter adopters, designers, Triangle Wiki users, and Ruby of Rails developers.

Event agenda

This is a walk-up event. Come by anytime to adopt a bus shelter or participate in the civic-athon. The planned activities include:

  • Sign-up to adopt an available bus shelter
    • Get your adoption supply bundle from 10-11 AM while supplies last
  • Submit a poster design to promote the adopt-a-shelter program
  • Create Triangle Wiki pages about existing bus shelters
  • Enhance the adopta app by fixing bugs and working on feature request (Ruby of Rails developers wanted)

After the civic-athon at the Urban Design Center, the group will visit Raleigh bus shelter R9 at 11:45 AM to unveil a newly adopted shelter owner in downtown Raleigh.
