Bin 54 is a high end steakhouse in Chapel Hill serving steaks and seafood with an award winning wine list to match. Located in the Glen Lennox shopping area on Highway 54 near 15/501, this fairly small restaurant features 15 tables in the main room with an open kitchen, a lively and beautiful bar area, private space for special events, and a covered patio for outdoor seating. Be sure to ask to see the walk-in wine cellar, and if you have a truly special occasion to splurge on, you can even reserve the table in there for a one-of-a-kind dining evening.
Fit for "foodies", dates, and casual diners. Reservations are recommended and the suggested dress is "business casual".
Steaks are priced from $24-$55, plus a $90 prime 32 oz. porterhouse that is built for two guests. Seafood runs around $30. The menu is a la carte with $8 side items, ~$10 salads and $9-$17 appetizers. Wines by the glass range from $9-$18, and bottle prices have a very wide range of $25-$4,800 (!) with somewhat of a focus on nice cabernets to pair with the steak.
