Biography

 

Chris Roush is a renowned professor and expert in business journalism. He is the Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Roush is the founding director of the Carolina Business News Initiative, a program that provides training for professional journalists and UNC students. In the School of Media and Journalism, Roush teaches writing and reporting, business and the media, business reporting and economics reporting. 

Roush double-majored in history and journalism, with a minor in political science, at Auburn University. He later received his master's degree in mass communication from the University of Florida.  

He is the founder and editor of the award-winning blog talkingbiznews.com, where he blogs about the profession of business journalism. He also created two other sites: bizjournalismhistory.org and collegebizjournalism.org

Roush lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
