Unoccuppied and poorly maintained properties degrade the appearance of our neighborhoods and can decrease the value of adjacent properties. List below properties that require attention and provide any background information you may have about each property:

803 Glenwood Avenue: One-story frame Queen Anne house built in 1913 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This house has been unoccupied for more than 20 years. Structural problems are observable from the  exterior of the house. Demolition becomes a possibility if significant work is not done on this house.

1810 Sunset AvenueOne-story bungalow from 1923. Has been unoccupied for many years and is in obvious disrepair.  Possiblity of demolition and replacement due to large lot size.

105 West Aycock:  One-story from 1930. Property has been empty for years and is in very poor condition. Neighbors have continously reported problems of rats and snakes to the heirs who inherited the house and to the City.  Neighbors also report that the  inside left literally as it was when vacated years ago - for example food on the table. It is an eyesore and a large safety concern.   Apparently the heirs  can't agree what to do with the house, but are not taking action to maintain it.
