Topics of discussion
- Jason Widen and others are working with the federal administration to host a regional Datapalooza/Big Data conference on (target date: 4/22/13)
- Discussion on dates for next Innovation Summit (committee agreed that we should avoid the Jewish holidays of 9/4-9/6)
- HUB Raleigh will be hosting a Ted X event (Widen to provide date and time)
- Hibbets updated group on his book (vote on image at www.hibbets.net)
- Bosser updated on efforts at SXSW to include talent, innovation, and business recruitment (grand prize giveaway will be a trip for two to Hopscotch)
- Group recommended using open source to name our Innovation Month of September (needs to be discussed further and get feedback from meetings Mary-Ann has been having)
- Sauls asked for support to distribute a Survey Monkey that he and Minor are working on targeting start-ups/entrepreneurs/high-growth businesses.
