The Institute for Nonprofits (also known as The Institute for Nonprofit Research, Education and Engagement (INPREE)) is an institute within North Carolina State University whose mission is to "enhance the capacity and leadership of nonprofit organizations through research, education and engagement."
The Institute for Nonprofits connects NC State University with the nonprofit community, leveraging the expertise and dedication of faculty, students, staff and community partners to build nonprofit capacity and develop nonprofit leaders. The Institute for Nonprofits serves as a center of expertise, generator of knowledge, and host of a collaborative and diverse community of scholars.
Location
The Institute for Nonprofits has been housed in NC State University's Cox Hall since 2010. Plans to move the Institute for Nonprofits to the future James B. Hunt library--currently under construction--in 2013.

Programs
In 2010, the Philanthropy Journal, an online nonprofit news source with national reach, joined the Institute for Nonprofits.
The Institute for Nonprofits houses the undergraduate Nonprofit Studies Minor for students. The Institute also co-facilitates a certificate in Nonprofit Management in conjunction with NC State University's Masters in Public Administration program.
