Lakemont is a neighborhood in the midtown area of Raleigh, NC. Homes in the area are typically single family and are centered around the Lakemont Swim and Tennis club.  Nearby neighborhoods include Hickory Hills, Quail Hollow and Eastgate.

History

Most homes in the area were built in the 1960's.  The neighborhood included a man-made lake when it was first established, giving the development its name. The lake was later drained in the 1980's, making room for a new development of homes on Little Falls Drive.

Douglas Magnet and Carrol Middle School are both in close proximity to lakemont
