History

It all began when Sheilagh Sabol Duncan was in the fifth grade. She occasionally made dinner for her family when her mother was working and one evening she Photo Credit: Sheila Duncandecided to make a peach pie with a can of peaches she found in the cabinet. That pie changed her life. It was the worst pie ever made and after the embarrassment of serving such a bad pie she made a lifelong commitment to learn how to make good pies.

After being laid off a couple of years ago, Sheilagh Sabol Duncan set off making pies for her friends and neighbors. The demand grew so much she could no longer handle what she could make in the kitchens at hand. Sheilagh found out about the current location  in much need of repair and on a wing and a prayer rented it. After a major renovation to the building, PieBird openned in March 2011.
