The Richland Creek Greenway is a 3 mile trail that runs primarily through the Schenck Forest. The trail starts at a small parking lot across the street from the PNC Arena (map) and ends at the Reedy Creek Greenway (map). Because of rules governing visitors to the Schenck Forest, this is one of the most restrictive greenways in the Raleigh system - according to the Capital Area Greenway System Map, both dogs and bicycles are prohibited on the Richland Creek greenway.

At this time, the Richland Creek Greenway is not a proper trail and is more of an access route for the sewer system. There are a number of stream crossings and it is generally not suitable for bicycles. Additionally, the trail is very difficult to find into and through Schenck Forest and it's easy to get lost.
