History
Why is the neighborhood called Riggsbee Farm? The Riggsbee family had a farm on this property and sold in the mid 1990s to a developer.
The Riggsbee family ran a corner gas station and convenience store at the High House/Davis Drive intersection, just about where Tribeca Tavern is today, but closer to the road and about 50 feet higher in elevation. Davis Drive was only two lanes wide and there were no sidewalks. The Riggsbees lived in a house next to their store. There was a nice strawberry farm just about where Chick Fil A is today.
Mrs. Riggsbee was born into the Stone family, which owned the four corners of High House and Davis. That's how we get SearStone, Cornerstone, and Stone Creek names. Before Davis Drive was extended south towards Apex, the road was called Stone Road.
