St Patrick's Day Parade is held each March around St Patrick's day, the parade was organized initially by John McIntyre and Gail Massari in 1983, where a dozen or so Irish-Americans marched down Wilmington St.  It has since grown and is led by it's own Saint Patrick's Day Parade Committee, which brings together people from different local Irish organizations.  

The annual Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade took place on Saturday, March 17 in Downtown Raleigh!  The Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee is a 501(c)3 organization. The money raised helps with the costs of the parade and festival.  They also donate any extra funds back to charities in the community.
