The Oxford opened its doors as Raleigh’s first Gastropub, in October 2008 and has since become a favorite spot for locals. With high quality pub food and great specials all week long, The Oxford has become the ideal spot to dine. Featuring live music through out the weekend, all the best sports games, and excellent food, The Oxford is truly a multi-faceted establishment.
The term gastropub is British for public house, or “pub,” which specializes in food that is a step above basic “pub grub.” Gastropubs have a more relaxed atmosphere and focus on offering a strong, high-quality food environment and The Oxford is no different. The cuisine has an adventurous twist on familiar foods, all made from scratch with honest ingredients. The Oxford bridges the gap between traditional pubs and upscale restaurants.
