Triangle Curling Club logoThe Triangle Curling Club is a non-profit organization whose goal is to expand the sport of curling in North Carolina and to promote competitive curling at a national and international level.  It is a member of the Grand National Curling Clubs (GNCC). The club was formed in 1995 and currently makes its home at the new dedicated ice facility in Durham.  The Triangle club is regarded as a pioneer for expanding the traditionally Northern sport into the South. In recent years, club members have also been supportive in helping new clubs form in Charlotte and Wilmington, as well as Richmond, VA and Greenville, SC.

Members cover a wide range of ages and experience levels. The club operates leagues on Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu nights, Saturday mornings, and Sunday afternoons during the fall, winter and early spring. The club also regularly offers Learn to Curl events aimed at introducing and teaching the basics of the sport to new and prospective curlers. Each August, it also hosts the Carolina Classic bonspiel, a tournament that attracts teams from around the country. In 2011, the club also hosted the GNCC Arena Clubs Championship.

The club is a certified 501(c)3 non-profit organization and accepts tax-deductible charitable donations.  Current fundraising efforts are toward the club's building fund, which aims to finish a "dedicated-ice" curling facility in the Triangle. The TCC is trying to raise $300,000.00 in donations to build a 14,600 SqFT facility to hold 4 curling sheets. Please go to the website to find out more.

The TCC has just recently purchased 7 acres of land on So Hi Drive in Durham and plans to build a dedicated curling facility by January 2014.
