There are hundreds of miles of greenways and trails in the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill) which are very popular and used on a daily basis. These greenways and trails and are built, funded and maintained by multiple state, county and municipal governments and influenced by an equal number of non profit foundations and special interest organizations. It has been our experience that the existing maps and information on the greenways and trails in this area are sometimes disparate, singularly focused and unconnected.
Through our interactive map, Triangle Trails users can now view the greenway and trail data from a holistic perspective. For example, you can quickly visualize how greenways in Raleigh are connected to greenways in Cary through Umstead State Park. Through our links page you can access information including printable maps and mobile mapping applications from the various organizations that support and enhance the greenways and trail experience in the Triangle.
