Photo by Julie JarvisWest Point on the Eno is a 388-acre Durham City Park located in North Durham off of Roxboro Road.  The park runs along a 2-mile stretch of the Eno River and visitors can enjoy hiking trails, swimming, canoeing/kayaking, picnic tables/shelters and fishing (with proper NC fishing license).

The park also offers over 5 miles of hiking and nature trails that provide beautiful wooded views of the Eno River and education opportunities about local foliage and wildlife.

Here is a link to the park's trail maps (second page is MUCH clearer):

The park is open year around from 8AM to sunset and has restroom facilities.

The park also has three historic buildings that are open to the public and include the McCown-Mangum House, West Point Mill, and Packhouse & Hugh Mangum Museum of Photography.  These attractions are open Saturdays and Sundays 1PM - 5PM mid-March through mid-December and admission is free.
