Located right outside of Reno, Virginia City is a historical city.  During the 19th century this town was widely known for its mines and the treasures they held. This turned Virginia City into one of the most important industrial cities between San Francisco and Denver. Today, here are many different activities to do here including stepping back in time and experiencing life back in the 1800's.  This town offers historic walking tours, mine tours, and railroad rides as well as many restaurants and many old, funky shops to explore. There are also plenty of museums to look around and discover what life was like back in the 1800's. Some special places to check out are Virginia City's cemeteries and famous saloons.
