The West Contra Costa Youth Service Bureau is a comprehensive family-centered service delivery agency that is designed to provide quality and appropriate services to referred and eligible children, youth and their families residing in Contra Costa County.

Based upon the Bureau's philosophy and belief that our client population is "asset laden" as opposed to "deficit burdened", our approach is to promote the healthy development of children, youth and families using the "Wraparound Process".

This Best Practices Model uses a team-based approach that permits and supports a collection of individuals and others important in the child and family's life to participate in the implementation of a common goal. The team (that includes the client and their family members) is designed to develop a plan that will provide the means whereby the client can achieve a successful adjustment within their family, in school and in the larger community.
