Collegiate School is a preparatory school for boys and girls located in the West End of Richmond. The student body of Collegiate is made up of about 1,500 total students from Kindergarten through 12th Grade. The Lower School and Upper School are coeducational and the Middle School is coordinated with boys and girls in separate classes.
History
Collegiate was founded in 1915 as the Collegiate School for Girls, a college preparatory school located in downtown Richmond. In addition to this campus in town, Collegiate opened the Collegiate Country Day School, off Mooreland and River Roads, in 1953. Collegiate's Town School and the Country Day School merged on Mooreland Road in 1960. Today Collegiate still remains on the Mooreland Road campus and has purchased over 155 acres in Goochland County. Collegiate had already developed 60 of these acres for athletic purposes.

Hershey Center for the Arts- includes a 620-seat theater, art, music and drama studios and photography darkroom as well as soundproof music studios.

5 athletic fields and 8 tennis courts on Mooreland Road Campus including a synthetic turf stadium
Robins Campus 10 minutes from main campus, with 12 playing fields including one synthetic field, a 5K cross-country course, and a new state of the art softball-baseball complex.
